"May on Mays Island," an outdoor concert in downtown Cedar Rapids, will be held today from 5 to 8 p.m. The Cedar Island Band will perform, along a a visit from the Cedar Rapids Parrot Heads Club. Land Shark beverage will be available as will other drink specials and prizes from Dale Lee Distributing. Food vendors will also be on site.
Free parking for the event will be available in the 1st St. and 3rd Ave. parking ramps.
The show is for ages 21 and above only. Tickets are available for $7 at the gate (pre-event tickets are available for $5 per person at various locations).
After the concert some downtown businesses will be open with specials for those with a Mays Island party wristband.
The event is made possible by Rockwell Collins, the Cedar Rapids Downtown District, Dale Lee Distributing and the Parrot Heads Club.
