Progressive Action for the Common Good, Iowans for Sensible Priorities, and Democracy for America-Quad Cities will come together tomorrow night for a showing of the film "Why We Fight."

The documentary, directed by Eugene Jarecki, was released in Jan. 2005 and won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. It explores the military industrial complex and, according to most critics, offers an even-handed approach to the topic. A trailer is available from Sony Pictures in QuickTime format. Ice cream and refreshments will be served during the free evening. The Davenport Unitarian Church, 3707 Eastern Ave., has opened its doors for the event. Those interested in attending are encouraged to visit the DFA site and RSVP.
